We have a wonderful pediatrician who is part of our wonderful family practice here in New Paltz. Our little Maeve recently went in for a visit due to her stuffy nose. Dr Saied took time to get to know her, asking her questions not only about her ailments but also about her family and herself. I loved Maeve's response to one of his questions:
Dr S: What are you going to be when you grow up?
Maeve: Bigger!

It can't possibly get more Innocent than that - how lovely! In response to your earlier post re turtles, we've been doing the same on our bike rides, moving them to the side of the road and generally in the direction of the swamp. However, tonight I received advice from a local (not sure as to her background in wildlife habitats, but she seems knowledgeable) that you should always move turtles in the direction that they seem to be moving, because if you move them back they'll just turn around and go back in the other direction that they were initially heading. Again - I have no idea how credible this information is, but she seemed to know her stuff. So I guess on tomorrow's bike ride we'll just move them in the direction they seem to be going - and hope for the best! Hopefully all of our little guys will get to achieve the dream of "being bigger"!!!
